Our Charity
Raging Bull support Sue Ryder's Leckhampton Court Hospice
In November 2017, the Raging Bull Family sadly lost someone very dear to Pancreatic Cancer.
Josh Hiren was Raging Bull through and through and epitomised our values of integrity, pride and passion delivering them every day in all that he did. He not only helped grow and develop our business as Retail Operations Manager, but also became a mentor, a friend and a father figure to those who worked with him.
Known as the ‘Fashion Guru’ and always dressed to impress, Josh knew everything you needed to know about the fashion industry. His warm personality meant that he could get on with just about anyone and also made you feel like you were part of a family…’teamwork makes the dream work’ was his famous motivational saying.
Well known in Cheltenham and even across the UK, Josh lit up a room when he entered and would always put the needs of others before himself, being the joker but also the guy you could go to for just about anything. Josh always made himself available to people and was unstintingly generous with his time and support for those around him.
Throughout his two year fight with cancer Josh continued to play an important role in the business and still gave his 100% commitment wherever he could. He always worried about how others were dealing with his diagnosis and to quote the guru himself; ‘DON’T COUNT THE DAYS, MAKE THE DAYS COUNT’.
With the love and support of his amazing partner Bente, incredible family, friends and work colleagues, Josh fought for an amazing 2 years. During this time he made every day count and continued to do things he loved such as Cheltenham Races, visiting his favourite beach in the Gower, Wales, supporting his beloved Arsenal, spending time with close friends and being around Bente and his dearly loved family.
We have chosen Sue Ryder as our charity as Josh spent a lot of time at their hospice Leckhampton House and was always so complimentary on how amazing the care was from all the staff and medical professionals. Josh felt comfortable here with many of the other patients and families confusing Josh with a member of staff due to his helpful nature. He was able to have family and friends come and go and could even have his adored dog Theo by his side.
Loved and missed every day, we know he will be smiling down on us with pride knowing we are all working together as a team bringing together his Raging Bull family and his own friends and family to both support this amazing charity and also raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer.
